TASTE OF OKTOBERFEST

at International City Food Festival

Oktoberfest is a world-renowned Bavarian folk festival, which is held annually in Munich and attracts more than six million people from around the world in search of German beer, music, and food. Furthermore, the legendary tradition has inspired Oktoberfest-style events in cities around the world. However, this event partnership with the Embassy of Germany marked the first time that a German embassy has curated an Oktoberfest outside of Munich. The celebration featured a Bavarian market with authentic German food & goods, genuine Oktoberfest beers, and traditional music and dance performances. As part of International City Food Festival, the event emphasized deepening one’s appreciation for culture through food. Storytelling around the event focused on the German concept of Gemütlichkeit, the the feeling of warmth and cheerfulness amongst friends. Read more about International City Food Festival HERE.
