NATIONAL CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL

The National Cherry Blossom Festival commemorates the 1912 gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, DC, and celebrates the enduring friendship between the people of the United States and Japan. Bringing in 1.5 million visitors each year, this joyful and culturally-rich festival is a highly strategic partner of Events DC, where I serve as Director of Program Development & Web Content. During my tenure, I have worked to manage Events DC’s brand presence at the festival in a variety of ways, from drafting sponsorship deal points, to creating content with cultural experts, to developing event activations and more.
